So the dust has settled, you’ve been married for a couple of years or so, but you want to relive your wedding, your promises and show your soul mate how much love you have for them. The answer? A vow renewal of course!
This perfectly bohemian and romantic real vow renewal of Kat and Ross, is so dreamy. They agreed to hold their renewal amongst a styled elopement shoot. The result? Striking attire, a scrumptious waffle wedding cake and whimsical blooms. Revel in the loveliness folks, their vow renewal is so very beautiful.
Thanks so much to Liberty Pearl Photography for sending through these remarkable images.
“We chose Baxter and Ted for videography for their relaxed artistic approach. They always tell such beautiful stories with their vintage style movies.
Each wedding film is unique to reflect the couple, their story and their adventures. We combine old and new formats, digital and film. We both adore the timeless, romantic quality of super 8 film. We love the imperfections, which make it beautifully perfect. It is a wonderful contrast to the vibrant, stunning cinematic feel of our high definition cameras.
People’s love stories get under our skin and into our hearts. We love to combine our passion for storytelling with the joy of other people’s stories, capturing the romance of people in love and preserving those precious memories on film.”
VOW RENEWAL DATE | 20.01.17
THE VENUE | BoHo Cornwall, Boscean Country House, St Just, Cornwall. Our original Elopement/Wedding venue. We are both Cornish and BoHo Cornwall is the most beautiful, romantic and perfect location imaginable :)
THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Hair made by the florist.
Earrings – handmade silver and pearl earrings by Victoria Sewart – contemporary jewellery.
Simple Gold Bracelet – Creature by Lucy Watson.
FINDING THE DRESS | I wanted something a bit different so went to a local dress maker and chose this romantic elegant silk dress. The dress is a vintage inspired wedding gown with sweet bridal detailing. Sheer double petal sleeves, pearl button fastening and an ivory lace belt add to the softness of the colour and fabric. The vanilla colour was designed to look gentle and warm against the skin, and was inspired by the sandy beaches of Cornwall making it perfect for this elopement shoot.
I also had some beautiful lingerie which I used for getting ready shots. I loved the light, soft silk, it felt so luxurious against my skin, the lace and detailing is so romantic and delicate.
GROOM’S ATTIRE | H&M Men’s.
THE FLOWERS | We chose Beyond the Bloom because they use Cornish, seasonal, organic flowers grown by local growers at the Cornish Cutting Garden and Zennor Wild.
They always have such beautiful ideas so we gave them a brief and they created something that was just perfect!
Their inspiration was the Bloomsbury set and Arts and Crafts with a full bouquet including Artichoke leaves and Eucalyptus grown from seed and Hellebores from their woodland garden.
THE CAKE | We have followed Edible Essences work for a while, and we were so pleased when she came up with the idea for our cake.
We wanted to create an unconventional wedding cake to tie in with the venue and our Bohemian alternative styling. Rather than a cake we went for a delicious waffle stack layered with whipped double cream, berries and pomegranate decorated with white chocolate sea shells, matching bridal flowers, foliage and feathers.
We gave Jenny our brief and she created the perfect cake for us! We were so happy! and it tasted divine.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | When we heard Amber would be photographing the renewal of vows we were thrilled, her work is absolutely stunning, we’ve seen her work before and we were so impressed with the beautiful and intimate images she captures.
Amber’s style of photography was an absolute joy to be a part of, she goes above and beyond to capture those perfect moments in time but in a very natural way, we felt totally at ease from the start and could really enjoy ourselves while being in the moment of our special day.
We are overjoyed with the results of Amber’s work, the pictures she’s produced far exceeded all of our expectations, and she made us look fantastic and captured so many beautiful details. Liberty Pearl Photography is a recommended photographer at BoHo Cornwall.
THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | Our style was vintage, bohemian with a rustic twist.
We wanted to capturing the elegance, tranquillity and romance of a BoHo Cornwall Elopement and a sense of this Country House by the sea, with it’s wild and magical setting on the edge of the Cornish moors
We wanted to consider the Arts and Crafts era, inspired by the House itself. The dress fits in well with this romantic look. Cornish Cutting Garden created a loose old Masters/Bloomsbury still life inspired bouquet and early 1900’s style headdress with side detail. It is Vintage and Bohemian – in keeping with Boscean Country House, which was built in 1912 in the Arts & Crafts style.
